Organic Structure

ISMAT is headed by an administrator and a scientific and pedagogical director.

The Scientific Council is composed of:

The Director of ISMAT, who presides;
Directors of the organic units (or departments);
Two PhD professors from each organisational unit (or department), elected by their peers..

The Pedagogical Council is made up of:

ISMAT's Director, who presides;
Directors of the organisational units (or departments);
Two teachers and two students from each course, elected by their peers;
For each organisational unit (or department), a representative of the teachers with a doctorate degree;
For each organisational unit (or department), a representative of teachers with a master's or bachelor's degree;
For each organisational unit (or department), the number of student representatives legally required for equal representation.

The General Council is made up of:

A person of public and recognised merit, who presides;
The administrator;
The director;
The directors of the organisational units;
The course directors;
The president of the student association;
A representative of the technical, administrative and auxiliary staff, elected by their peers;
Relevant personalities from the Western Algarve region, invited by the headmaster and administrator.
