ApresentaçãoPresentationThe Fashion Portfolio Course Unit aims to train students in the organization, curation and presentation of their work, which is essential for entering the fashion and design market. Acting as a strategic tool, the portfolio communicates the student's visual identity, creative processes and technical skills. With a theoretical and practical focus, the course covers printed, digital and online formats, allowing students to explore different approaches and visual languages. The portfolio is essential for professional opportunities, such as interviews, competitions and collaborations in the fashion industry. The relevance of the course in the study cycle lies in preparing students for self-promotion and professional positioning, strengthening their creative identity and facilitating connections with potential employers, brands and clients.

ProgramaProgramme1. Introduction to the different types of portfolios and their functions. 2. Technical and functional characteristics of the different types of portfolios. Analysis of different types of portfolios taking into account their formats, types of work, characteristics, functions and target audience. 3. Characteristics, requirements and techniques for creating a printed, digital and online portfolio. Analysis of sample portfolios. 4. Practical exercises for creating portfolio models 5. Taking photographs of the work to be included in the portfolio 6. Selection of work and creation of the personal portfolio Individual practical project, in tutoring: the student's work during the course will be analyzed and the most appropriate ones selected according to the objectives. Creation of the personal portfolio: printed and online.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe Fashion Portfolio Curricular Unit will be developed through theoretical-practical sessions, combining presentation of concepts, analysis of reference portfolios and applied exercises. Tutorial teaching will be essential in monitoring the individual project, assisting in the curation of work and in the construction of the printed and digital portfolio. The assessment will be continuous, considering attendance/punctuality (10%), theoretical-practical work (40%) and creation of the personal portfolio (50%). Innovative methodologies will be incorporated, such as: Project-Based Learning (PBL) – development of the portfolio as a real project. Use of Digital Technologies – design tools and online platforms for interactive portfolios. Co-creation and Collaborative Feedback – peer reviews and mentoring. Gamification – challenges to stimulate creativity and innovation. Active Methodology – case studies on portfolios of renowned designers.
