History of Design

Communication Design
  • ApresentaçãoPresentation
Basic discipline for the course, offering an introduction to the general history of Design, its origins and development, with particular interest in graphic and / or communication design. In its dynamics, the classes promote a comprehensive view of design, and non-linear thinking about the history of design (and history, in general), associating and drawing parallels between different styles and periods, from prehistory to the 21st century. With this approach, the objective is to demonstrate to the student the recursion of history and the consequent importance of knowing the past to build the future, in addition to building a comprehensive visual culture.
