Interface and Interaction
Communication Design
-
ApresentaçãoPresentationThe Interface and Interaction course unit is the last technological subject in the Communication Design Bachelor's degree. As such, it will encourage students to fully explore their creativity by using analog-digital interfaces to create an intervention that fosters interaction between visitors and the intervention space. This course will incorporate digital electronics and microcontrollers, enabling students to develop tangible interactive interfaces that synthesize and/or manipulate light, color, image, video, sound, and music using technological means. The final intervention (project) aims to conceptualize, produce, create, and document an interactive piece that transforms the perception of a built space by altering how users experience it.

ObjectivosObjectivesThe Interface and Interaction course is designed to help students understand and learn how to use different types of tangible interfaces and real-time digital content manipulation, including color, image, video, sound, and music. The digital competencies developed in this course include acquiring technical skills in using multimedia software such as After Effects, Max/MSP, and MadMapper. These tools will support the creation of the interactive system and the manipulation of digital content projected through video mapping in real-world spaces.

MetodologiaMethodologyProject-Based Learning (PBL) will be used to create a dynamic and flexible learning process, fostering student autonomy and self-organization. Alongside the theoretical content, classes will include tutorial sessions, guiding students through the different development stages required for implementing their interactive interventions. The assessment approach will focus on the entire learning process rather than a single evaluation moment. This method supports students in developing digital, creative, and technical literacy, ensuring they acquire the best practices necessary for project execution.
