Communication Design
-
ApresentaçãoPresentationThe Motion & Sound Design course unit focuses on audio-visual design practices, connecting the fields of graphic design and film, video, and animation. This combination has become widely recognized as an art form, with its evolution and dissemination growing exponentially in recent decades, particularly in terms of sophistication and technical integration, whether analog, digital, or hybrid. The course content is designed to deepen these strategies, equipping students with skills in video production through techniques such as animation, composition, editing, post-production, and projection, as well as in audio through sound synthesis and manipulation, musical composition principles, and sound signal processing.

MetodologiaMethodologyThis course, which is both digital and practice-oriented, explores the fundamental principles of motion graphics and sound composition, as well as the relationship between these two areas. This ensures that students are well-equipped to create audiovisual content. While some sessions will focus on theoretical concepts, the course is primarily based on project-based learning, encouraging students to explore tools and techniques creatively. A personalized teaching approach will track each student's progress, strengthening their familiarity with software and improving their technical application. Assessment will be based on projects assigned in class and the student's development in exploring the software. Attendance and class participation will also be considered in the evaluation process, as they directly impact the quality of the final projects.
