Organization of Sports Events

  The UC of Sports Events Organization is of extreme importance in Sports Science. From the perspective of training Sports Specialists, sports events are essential to the socio-economic development of society, and are also fundamental to the affirmation of tourist destinations and its development, such as at the macro level - Portugal, meso level - Algarve, and micro level - Portimão.

  LO1: Apprehend essential notions of strategic management. LO2: Mastering the basic theoretical assumptions of organizational development and marketing of sports events. LO3: Develop practical skills in the context of activities projects, design and implementation of sports events. LO4: Organize and promote sports events.

• MetodologiaMethodology

  The course will take place in a system of lectures with resources to lectures, and theorical-practices for the creation and application of tools for planning and managing events in community entities. Students should form working groups, the group work will be applied to real situations, with themes suggested by the teacher or groups and should be developed fundamentally in community entities. Futhermore, students should plan, carry out, and present the "Introductory Research Workshops in Sports Science" to secondary schools that offering sports training in the council of Portimão.
