Principles of Human Resources Management

  The purpose of this Unit is to frame the strategic role that the Human Resources Function plays in the performance of companies. It discusses the explanatory models associated with different policies and professional practices of human resources management from a strategic management perspective and addresses the current and future challenges faced by the function and its professionals.

  To achieve the Intended Learning Goals (LG), the planned teaching methodologies (TM) are as follows: - Theoretical exposition (TM1) of the main contents of the Syllabus (S); - Case Studies (TM2) for deepening and applying the knowledge obtained; - Analysis and discussion of scientific articles (TM3) for the development of critical thinking in the scientific domain of HRM.
