ApresentaçãoPresentationThe Development Psychology curricular unit aims to provide general training, in the field of scientific knowledge in Development Psychology, in an interdisciplinary perspective, deepening knowledge about the different aspects related to human development. Promote a solid scientific (theoretical, technical and methodological) training in the field of Developmental Psychology.

Development in childhood: Physical development and motor skills. Cognitive Development. Socio-emotional development. S4. Development in Adolescence: Physical changes associated with puberty. Cognitive and socio-cognitive development Development of Self and Identity. S5. Development in adulthood: Theoretical perspectives on development in adulthood. Young adult and adult developmental tasks. S6. Aging process.

ObjectivosObjectivesIt is intended that students acquire knowledge and skills related to: LG1. Understanding the key concepts of Developmental Psychology; LG2. Identification and differentiation of the theoretical perspectives of human development; LG3. Recognition of the main changes in terms of biological, cognitive, emotional and social development throughout the life cycle.

MetodologiaMethodologyTM 1: Theoretical classes using the expository method to approach and discuss the program contents; TM 2: Theoretical-practical classes using practical exercises to solve and discuss problems/cases and document analysis; TM 3: Practical classes with carrying out research in databases, viewing videos/documentaries, reflective debate and carrying out/presenting practical activities/group work.
