ApresentaçãoPresentationUC Seminários, through a series of presentations carried out by MIA.ISMAT alumni, prepares students for the various aspects of writing and presenting the final dissertation, complementary to the architectural project. It is a UC that follows the precept of learning by doing. The student will develop a series of theoretical and practical exercises related to the methodology, process and results of another's trajectory, understood as the state of the art. The student will be required to develop the ability to listen and understand a presentation, to publicly discuss their point of view on what they saw and heard, from the dissertation project to reporting on the process experienced by their colleague during the different phases of research by the project, until the moment of public discussion. Finally, for each presentation, the student must write a short critical review, which will in turn be read and commented critically in the UC class.

MetodologiaMethodologyUC Seminars I is a theoretical-practical discipline. In this sense, in parallel with the monitoring personalized development of practical work, from its beginning to its presentation, there is a theoretical teaching practice, where specific themes are addressed to the exercises in course, in parallel with some of the universal themes of architecture. The student's participation and attendance becomes particularly important, given that the synthesis built between what is directly applicable to the exercise in progress and the acquisition of structural concepts for the discipline of architecture finally consists of the entire subject matter of the architectural project/research. Continuous assessment with a rating from 0 to 20 points; student attendance will be mandatory for 70% of teaching hours; The student is expected to actively participate in course activities organized beyond the restricted space and time of the UC, such as workshops, free courses, study visits.
