The autonomous work model brings the university closer to society to debate forgotten heritage and the collective use of cities.
Architecture Laboratories are a work model that emerges from the university world. They arise in a format independent of the University to achieve greater contact and foster a larger involvement of society, through the encounters provided by the themes and the work format.
With an intimate relationship with the premises of knowledge and freedom found in university education, using its thought instruments in direct confrontation with physical places, the main objective of the LABORATORIES is to connect vital aspects of the collective use of the territory and cities.
We propose to reflect in particular on changing, forgotten, or disused places, as well as complexes, plots, or buildings that remain unknown to the collective heritage. Above all, it is important to reveal and shed light on situations and places, aiming for an unceasing construction of architectural culture and a permanent revision of the idea of heritage.
All proposals frame possible and consequential actions between thought and construction. The spectrum of their ideas is the legacy that becomes public with each presentation and in the synthesis published in book format for each edition.
