The work explores memories in the holy city of Tsefat and the timeless art of creating spaces where we feel at home.

ISMAT hosts the screening of the film by architect Nili Portugali, a work that takes us, through its unique poetic and meditative cinematic language, on a deeply intimate journey through childhood memories in the holy city of Kabbalah, Tsefat, in Galilee.

It is a journey that unfolds gradually from her current holistic and Buddhist perspective, exploring the essence of timeless spaces, the art of creation, and the connection between architecture, memory, and cultural identity. The film seeks to reveal profound universal insights: what is the secret of all those great timeless places in which we feel "at home", and what is that "pure art of creating" that shapes them—just like any art, in any culture, place, and time.

These are memories embedded in every stone of the history of this ancient and invisible city, as well as those of her grandmother, whom the author considers "a Zen Master". Straddling the fine line between art and architecture, this film—which had its world premiere at the Mumbai International Film Festival—crosses new boundaries by reflecting on the essence of space and existence.
