Lusófona promotes Workshop Cycle for Academic Well-being

April 15 to June 2, 2026

Objetivos de Desenvoltimento Sustentável (ODS)

Initiative addresses anxiety management, inclusion, and psychological first aid for university students.

The proposed workshop cycle is aimed at university students and is structured into three thematic sessions addressing common challenges in the university experience, from a psychoeducational and well-being promotion perspective.

The first session focuses on recognizing and managing anxiety associated with assessments and academic results, presenting practical strategies for emotional regulation, organization, and strengthening self-confidence, aiming to handle academic pressure more adaptively.

The second session aims to raise awareness about the impacts of discrimination and hate speech in the academic context. Concepts such as prejudice and microaggressions will be addressed, as well as the role of the university community in promoting representativeness, respect, and inclusion.

The third session focuses on psychological first aid, introducing basic principles for providing initial support to individuals in situations of psychological distress or emotional crisis. It aims to empower participants to recognize signs of distress, offer immediate support empathetically, and provide appropriate referrals to specialized resources.

As a whole, this cycle aims to promote psychological, social, and self-care skills relevant to the contemporary academic context and contribute to the promotion of more inclusive, supportive, and resilient academic communities.
