Seminar within the scope of the “Qualify Generation (Action)” Program of the Tourism Management undergraduate degree at ISMAT
This is a seminar organized in partnership between ISMAT (Tourism Management), Turismo de Portugal (Faro and Portimão Schools of Hospitality and Tourism), and the Portimão City Council.
The main objective is to show Secondary Education students (from the Barlavento Algarvio) that Tourism is a profession with a promising future. We will bring together in the same space the Secretary of State for Tourism, Local Authorities, State Delegations connected to Education and Employment, Turismo de Portugal, Associations, and companies in the sector, where, for the first time, the “Qualify Generation (Action)” program will be discussed.
In addition to the natural guests from the Tourism and Hospitality sector (Hotels, Travel Agencies, Animation Companies, Restaurants, Associations, etc.), teachers and students from the three Schools of Hospitality and Tourism of Turismo de Portugal (Faro, Portimão, and Vila Real de Santo António), secondary schools in Portimão (3 schools), Lagos (2 schools), Lagoa, and Silves are also invited, as well as the students and teachers from ISMAT.

Opening of the debate with a presentation by Alberto Mota Borges – Director of Gago Coutinho Airport (Faro), showcasing representative data on Tourism growth in the Algarve region.
