Assessment of psychosocial risks in ICCA in Cabo Verde

Professor André Tavares Rodrigues leads the research aimed at promoting the mental health and well-being of ICCA professionals, with the support of UNICEF.

André Tavares Rodrigues, Director of the Master's in Work Psychology and Occupational Health (PTeSO) at ISMAT – started a research project on July 1st, in the city of Praia, to assess the psychosocial risks of employees at the Cape Verdean Institute for Children and Adolescents (ICCA).

This initiative is developed within the scope of the Macaronesia Childhood and Youth Observatory, an international scientific cooperation network of which ISMAT is an international partner. The project is supported by UNICEF and the Government of Cape Verde, with the main objective of identifying risk and protective factors associated with mental health, psychological well-being, and quality of work life among ICCA professionals.

The results obtained will contribute to the development of strategies for promoting well-being, preventing psychosocial risks, and strengthening the quality of services provided to children, youth, and families in Cape Verde.
