From 7 to 14 July 2025, ISMAT successfully hosted another edition of the BIP (Blended Intensive Programme)

From 7 to 14 July 2025, ISMAT successfully hosted another edition of the BIP (Blended Intensive Programme), a short-term exchange programme that combines online activities with a physical mobility component, developed and implemented by at least three higher education institutions from different Erasmus+ programme countries.

Organised by the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion and Textile Design and Production at ISMAT, this edition of the BIP, entitled "Frames of Diversity: Capturing and Fashion Culture", welcomed students and lecturers from five international universities:

  • Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli – Italy
  • Akademia Ekonomiczno-Humanistyczna w Warszawie – Poland
  • Escuela ESSDM | Moda & Gráfico – Seville, Spain
  • UDIT - Universidad de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología – Madrid, Spain
  • Vilnius Dailes Akademija – Lithuania

Throughout the week, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture and history. A guided tour of Portimão allowed them to explore the city’s architecture and visual elements, which served as inspiration for developing print design proposals.

These prints were subsequently produced by the students themselves in artisanal silk-screen printing workshops. The final results were featured in fashion photography productions, carried out at the Portimão Museum premises.

This edition of the BIP provided an enriching experience for all participants, fostering cultural exchange, creativity, and deeper knowledge in the field of fashion and textile design and production.
