The "Líderes de Portugal" project, coordinated by Professor Patrícia Araújo, analyzed leadership in sectors such as politics, hospitality, and retail.

The 2nd-year students of the Bachelor's degrees in Business Management and Tourism Management produced, in teams, a Video Case Study within the scope of the “Líderes de Portugal” project.

This project is a Project-based Learning/Challenge-Based Learning initiative, founded and led by Professor Patrícia Araújo for nearly a decade, aimed at deepening case studies of Portuguese leaders, and already contains 40 episodes.

This year, 2026, ISMAT students chose several leaders to meet, interview, visit their organizations, and conduct an organizational analysis regarding leadership styles:

  • Eng. Quitéria Antão (Leader in the waste sector);
  • António Claudino (Leader in the Retail sector);
  • Dr. Elsa Azevedo (Leader in the hotel sector/Júpiter Marina);
  • Álvaro Bila (Political Leader/current Mayor of Portimão);
  • José Santos (Leader/operations director of a hotel chain);
  • Dalila Pereira (Leader, entrepreneur, and trainer in the aesthetics field).

The Lideres de Portugal Channel is open to the community and brings the corporate world closer to the academic world, promoting digital literacy, as students also take on the role of content producers and managers of the YouTube Channel where all episodes are available.
