ENED — the National Design Students Meeting, returns in 2026 for its 11th edition. For the first time in its history, the event will take place in the south of the country, in the city of Portimão, in April 2026.

The organization of ENED 2026 is led by ISMAT’s Communication Design Student Union, d&Sign!s. This challenge is seen as a unique opportunity to strengthen the presence of ISMAT, Portimão, and the Algarve within the national landscape of design education and culture.

Recognized as the largest academic design event in Portugal, ENED brings together students, faculty, and professionals from across the country and abroad. It promotes knowledge sharing, creative experimentation, and direct contact with the professional world through lectures, workshops, job fairs, cultural events, and academic networking.

The 2026 edition marks both the geographic decentralization of the event and a strong connection to the host city’s identity, establishing Portimão as a meeting point for creativity, tradition, and modernity.

ENED 2026 promises to be a landmark edition, reinforcing ISMAT’s role as an active institution in cultural and academic promotion, and consolidating Portimão as a welcoming city for major national events of a youthful, creative, and educational nature.
