Tiago Lopes, a Sport Sciences undergraduate student, won the bronze medal in the -58kg category at the 2025 European Universities Taekwondo Championship, held in Warsaw, Poland.
Accompanied by Master Tiago Carito from the Portimão Taekwondo Club, the athlete secured 3rd place, further enhancing the prestige of Portimão’s sport and the pride of the ISMAT academic community.
The European Universities Taekwondo Championship took place from 22 to 25 August, bringing together athletes from all over Europe.
