On 31 March, students from the Fashion and Textile Design and Production degree took part in a Macramé workshop. The technique was taught by trainer Fátima Castro, who passed on her practical knowledge to the students in an extremely dynamic session.
The activity took place as part of the Design of Textiles for Decoration course, which Professor Gisele Nepomuceno teaches and conducts. The workshop provided an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, valuing the preservation of ancestral manual techniques that add great value to both decorative and fashion products.
The concentration, involvement and manual dexterity demonstrated by the students showed the relevance of craft practice and its countless possibilities for creating authorial design.
