Architectural works entirely handmade by MIA students will be on display at ISMAT.
The exhibition "Nuno Portas Visual Glossary" opened at ISMAT last Friday, May 22nd. During the event, second-year Integrated Master’s in Architecture (MIA) students had the opportunity to present their entire creative process to the institution's board, sharing the methodologies and theoretical concepts applied.
The showcase, resulting from work developed in the Project IV course (2025-2026 academic year), stands out because all the works were entirely handmade. Divided between the university's atrium and Room 2.1, the exhibition features drawings of the iconic Barata dos Santos House (Vila Viçosa) and portraits of Nuno Portas, coordinated by Professor Cláudia Gaspar and Mário Luz. This hands-on immersion into the prestigious architect's legacy reflects ISMAT's commitment to architectural heritage and analytical drawing, and it will remain open until June 5th.
