On December 18th, the exhibition “Creators Unplugged: Young vs Old Blood” was inaugurated, a showcase that establishes a dialogue between the work of the Portuguese design agency Deadinbeirute and projects developed by Communication Design students from the Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes (ISMAT).
The exhibition aims to present different dimensions of design through a parallel reading between professional practice and the academic context. This initiative also continues the showcase held last year, reinforcing a programming line that seeks to keep the contact between teaching, the profession, and the public alive.
The inauguration was attended by students and the course's teaching staff, as well as the course director, Dr. Susana Leonor. Marko Roasalline, director of the agency Deadinbeirute, was also present. Additionally, the museum director, Dr. Isabel Soares, and Dr. Dina Monteiro, head of the communication office of the Portimão City Council, were in attendance.
The opening moment was described as an opportunity for dialogue and sharing about design, highlighting pride in the profession and the importance of the encounter between different generations and perspectives of practice.
The exhibition remains open until January 30th.
