Celebrating the role of women in science and their impact on transforming society.
The day 11 February 2026 marks the 11th anniversary of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (International Day of Women and Girls in Science, IDWGS) and the 31st anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, two significant milestones in the global effort to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women.
The Ensino Lusófona institutions: Universidade Lusófona; IPLUSO; ISMAT; ISLA Gaia and ISLA Santarém mark this Day by creating the panel Women in Science@EnsinoLusófona, in which we intend to bring together photographs of women researchers, including doctoral students.
We invite everyone to take part in this photographic moment at our PhotoBooth, wearing the institution’s T-shirt, and to share a sentence that summarizes their research.
The photographs will be used to create the Women in Science@EnsinoLusófona panel and subsequently to promote your research.
