ISMAT marked Europe Day with an event dedicated to the analysis of the EU AI Act and the European Union's strategic autonomy, bringing together international experts and the regional school community.
The celebration was highlighted by an analysis of the new EU AI Act, where ISMAT professors debated the challenges of its implementation in Portugal and Europe. The international component featured the conference "Strategic Autonomy of the EU: Challenges and Solutions," with speakers from prestigious institutions such as Virginia Tech (USA) and the Luiss School of Government (Rome).
The day concluded with a ceremony dedicated to the symbols of the European Union, accompanied by the Portimão Philharmonic Band.
Through this initiative, ISMAT reinforced its role in promoting academic debate and bridging the gap between technological innovation, geopolitics, and the local community.
