During "Blue Month," the academic community joins CPCJ and Portimão Council to raise awareness about children's right to affection.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the ISMAT academic community—bringing together students, faculty, and staff—has mobilized to give this cause a voice. In partnership with the Portimão CPCJ (Child and Youth Protection Committee) and the Portimão City Council, the initiative aims to warn society about the fundamental premise that our children and young people need, above all, love and security to grow up happy and healthy.
The organization of this solidarity movement was led by the DPEF (Department of Psychology, Education, and Training), with the active involvement of the Psychology and Engineering Student Unions. Through awareness actions and the symbolism of the blue ribbon, this partnership reinforces the role of higher education institutions in building a more attentive, protective community committed to safeguarding the rights of the youngest.
