Professor Sílvia Rebouças debates the impact of artificial intelligence and data analysis on football management.
Data Science is transforming the way organizations make decisions, and in sports this transformation is becoming increasingly evident. Professor Sílvia Pedro Rebouças, Director of the Data Science’s Degree at ISMAT, participated as an invited speaker at the event "Sports Management and Governance: Lusophone-Brazilian Challenges and Perspectives", held at the University of Fortaleza (Brazil).
In her presentation, entitled "Data Science and Global Sports Governance", she highlighted the growing role of data analytics, statistical modelling and artificial intelligence in the strategic management of football, from performance evaluation and injury prevention to financial sustainability and the integrity of competitions.
The event brought together representatives of major clubs, sports management experts and researchers, creating a space for debate on the challenges of professionalization, transparency and sustainability in the sports industry.
