Professor André Tavares Rodrigues develops psychological well-being program in Cape Verde with UNICEF support
Professor Doctor André Tavares Rodrigues recently visited Cape Verde to implement the program “Promoting Psychological Well-Being in Social Protection Teams – Caring for the Caregivers”, funded by UNICEF.
The program’s main objective is to strengthen the psychological well-being and mental health of professionals who dedicate themselves daily to the protection and care of children and adolescents in vulnerable situations across the archipelago.
This initiative recognizes the importance of caring for caregivers, providing support and strategies to manage stress, emotional fatigue, and the challenges inherent in working within social protection contexts.
The participation of Professor André Tavares Rodrigues highlights the academic commitment to promoting mental health and well-being among essential professionals, contributing to the quality and sustainability of child protection policies in Cape Verde.
