The article, resulting from a Business Management student's capstone project in partnership with the University of Huelva, was featured at the II Balneotherapy Management Congress.

ISMAT was featured at the II Congreso da Xestión da Balnoterapia (II Balneotherapy Management Congress), an international event held on September 22 and 23, 2026, at the Faculty of Business Sciences and Tourism of the University of Vigo (Ourense Campus).

The event brought together experts and researchers from the thermalism and tourism management sectors to discuss new challenges facing the industry.

During the conference, the scientific article “Otro recurso: la paradoja de la sostenibilidad en el agua embotellada versus la identidad balnearia” was presented, stemming from the final degree project of ISMAT Business Management student Marta Quina, in partnership with the University of Huelva.

The study, supervised and co-authored by professors and researchers Margarete Luisa Arbugeri, Luiz Guerrazzi, and Francisco Javier Garcia-Delgado, analyzes the impact of bottled water consumption on the identity and sustainability of thermal spas.

This international presentation recognizes student merit and consolidates ISMAT's research partnerships across the Iberian Peninsula.
