João Pedro Portugal debated the acceptance of Artificial Intelligence by tourism professionals in Portugal and Brazil.
João Pedro Portugal, Professor at ISMAT and integrated researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for History, Cultures and Societies, CIDEHUS, took part as a keynote speaker in an international seminar organised by REDEGETUR, the Ibero-American Network of Tourism Economics and Management, a scholarly network he has recently joined.
The session was dedicated to the theme “Acceptance of AI tools by tourism and hospitality workers – the case of Portugal and Brazil”, focusing on how tourism and hospitality professionals perceive the use of artificial intelligence tools within their work contexts. The seminar provided an opportunity to discuss findings, trends and challenges related to the acceptance of these technologies in a sector undergoing rapid transformation.
