Liliana Quitério won first place with the project “O Pensamento da Mão” (The Thought of the Hand), in an edition that also featured distinctions for the University of Erfurt.
The jury of the 5th edition of the Luiz Conceição International Architecture Award awarded the first prize to Liliana Quitério, an Architecture student at ISMAT, for the work “O Pensamento da Mão”, developed within the scope of the Project I curricular unit.
The honorable mention was awarded to Moritz Recke and Toni Kertscher, from the University of Erfurt, for the work “Eisenhüttenstadt – Rehabilitation of the City Hotel Lunik and the Juri Gagarin School”.
Promoted by the Integrated Master's in Architecture at the Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes (ISMAT), the Luiz Conceição Award annually distinguishes works by Architecture students from national and international higher education institutions, valuing proposals developed during the first semesters of the course.
Established in 2020, this initiative provides for the awarding of a first prize and honorable mentions, in accordance with the respective regulations.
The award is part of ISMAT's annual programming and culminates with the public announcement of the results and an exhibition of the finalist works, highlighting the quality and diversity of the presented proposals.
The first exhibition will take place in the atrium of the Lagos Town Hall, between June 30th and July 10th.
