The workshops were aimed at students with special needs
Bringing knowledge about biomaterials to other municipalities is one of the missions of the Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design, which seeks to promote sustainable and innovative practices.
In this context, two schools in the Municipality of Lagos — Júlio Dantas Secondary School and Gil Eanes Secondary School — received a visit from representatives of ISMAT for an inclusive workshop, specifically designed for students with special needs.
The challenge was led by Professor João Espírito Santo and Psychologist Alexandra, who guided the young participants in a creative exploration of the countless possibilities offered by biomaterials. Through hands-on activities, participants had the opportunity to learn about these innovative materials and reflect on the impact of their consumption habits.
The initiative stood out not only for the dissemination of technical knowledge but also for its inclusive approach, which valued the abilities and engagement of all students. This project reinforces ISMAT’s commitment to expanding the boundaries of sustainable education and raising awareness among new generations about more conscious and responsible practices.
