Professor Pedro Gonçalves led a session dedicated to sleep hygiene and the impact of daily habits on rest.
On April 14th, the 2nd Psychology "Tertúlia" of the 2nd semester took place, this time diving into the mysteries of rest under the theme "Sleep Thieves." The session, led by Professor Pedro Gonçalves, became a vital space for reflection on the physiology of sleep and the multiple biological, behavioral, and technological factors that frequently compromise its quality.
During the event, participants discussed practical strategies for adopting better rest habits and the fundamental role that sleep plays in emotional regulation and cognitive performance. The debate highlighted how small changes in daily routines can combat modern "thieves" of rest, promoting a higher quality of life. This gathering reaffirms the commitment of ISMAT’s Psychology Department to addressing cross-cutting themes that directly impact the well-being of the academic community and society at large.
