Professors Ana Martins and Carla Tomás led the semester's 1st Psychology Talk, demystifying concepts and approaches.
On March 23rd, ISMAT hosted the 1st Psychology "Tertúlia" of the 2nd semester, centered on the theme "Positive Psychology: Beyond the Clichés." The session, led by Professors Ana Martins and Carla Tomás, provided a space for critical reflection on one of the most publicized areas of contemporary psychology.
The main objective of the gathering was to deconstruct superficial views of Positive Psychology, exploring its scientific rigor and practical applications in promoting human well-being and resilience. Through a dynamic dialogue, the faculty and participants debated how this approach can be used ethically and evidence-based, moving away from simplistic formulas and focusing on the real development potential of individuals and communities.
