Organisational Happiness' Curriculum Unit Prepares Training Courses to Take to Companies

In this course, students can create innovative training programmes for companies

In the “Organisational Happiness” course, the first and only course on this subject in Undergraduate programmes in Portugal, it is redefining the way well-being in companies is thought about and promoted.

The final-year students of the Undergraduate Degree in Human Resources Management designed, tested, and implemented training actions, well-founded training interventions, with session plans ready to be applied by organisations interested in fostering the happiness and productivity of their employees.

This year, the scope of the training programmes covered a wide range of topics related to organisational well-being and positive leadership:

  • "Non-verbal Communication and Leadership Intervention in Organisations";
  • "How to Promote Healthy Workspaces";
  • "Positive Leadership";
  • "Positive Emotions at Work";
  • "The Value of Feedback in Employee Interpersonal Relationships";
  • "Understanding and Promoting the Flow Experience in Employees to Increase Productivity";
  • "Time Management and Work Well-being";
  • "Techniques to Master Difficult Conversations";
  • "Inclusive and Happy Organisations: How to Promote Diversity and Inclusion";
  • "Flourishing at Work – The PERMA Model".

The students, applying theoretical concepts and best practices, created detailed and well-founded training interventions that provide practical solutions to the current challenges faced by organisations.
