The FAZER + Programme is a Science and Innovation Support Programme aimed at supporting and rewarding activities and projects that strengthen research and innovation capacity within Lusófona University institutions.
The programme comprises 1 competition and 3 awards:
- Research Excellence Competition;
- Award for the Best Innovative Pedagogical Practice;
- Award for Good Research Practices in Teaching;
- Lusófona University Scientific Publications Award.
“Research Excellence” Competition
This competition is intended to fund innovative projects, preferably with a strong interdisciplinary component, in any field of knowledge that could lead to larger-scale projects to be submitted later for national or international funding and/or patent registration or other forms of intellectual property protection.
Available funds:
- The total allocated amount is one hundred thousand euros (€100,000).
- The maximum funding per application is fifty thousand euros (€50,000).

Application Form ROADMAP
“Best Innovative Pedagogical Practice” Award
This award recognises the integration of innovative practices into curricular content at any level of education, promoting transversal, active, and collaborative learning, based on face-to-face, distance, or blended teaching/learning systems, with the aim of fostering self-learning and inclusive education.
Available funds:
- The prize amount per individual application is five thousand euros (€5,000).
- The prize amount per group application is eight thousand euros (€8,000).

APPLICATION FORM ROADMAP
“Good Research Practices in Teaching” Award
This award aims to reward the best processes for integrating R&D practices into course content, promoting student immersion in research and development activities.
Available funds:
- The prize amount per application is five thousand euros (€5,000).
- The amount may be awarded to an individual or to a group of winning lecturers.

Lusófona University Scientific Publications Award
This award is intended to recognise scientific research activity and encourage publication in internationally renowned journals and publishers with peer review (Q1).
Available funds:
- The prize amount per application is two hundred and fifty euros (€250).
