A class from the Portimão Employment and Vocational Training Institute went on a study visit to the Multimedia Exhibition on Genocides at the ISMAT Library and Cistern on 5 February. The exhibition was inaugurated on 27 January as part of the ‘Genocide: Knowing, Understanding, Preventing Project’.
Under the guidance of Dr Liliana Ferreira, the initiative included the participation of Professor Pedro Cantinho Pereira, Dr Liliana Caldeira and trainee Joana Alegria, who accompanied the trainees through the exhibition consisting of informative posters, photographs, multimedia videos and paintings alluding to the genocides that took place during the 20th and 21st centuries (with a focus on the Holocaust).
