General Theory of Civil Law I

  This course unit focuses on the Law of Persons, Legal Situations and the structuring elements of the Legal Relationship. It is, therefore, fundamental for the apprehension of the contents of other disciplines that constitute the various branches of private law, such as the law of obligations, real rights and commercial law.

  With this curricular unit it is intended the acquisition, by the student, of the essential knowledge related to the General Part of the Civil Code with special reference to Personal Law, Legal Situations and the structuring elements of the Legal Relationship. The aim is to train students for the proper selection and correct application of the jus-dogmatic criteria that are most adequate to the knowledge of Civil Law and its application to specific cases.

  Classes are taught in a theoretical and practical way so that the student can learn more objectively and in substance. The assessment must be based on two written tests and with a weighting of 50% for the presence and oral elements.
