ApresentaçãoPresentationThe objective of the course consists of an overview of the concept and functioning of Law, stimulating in students the ability to think critically about the concept of Law and fundamental issues of justice, through a critical survey of traditional methods of validating Law and problematize the current challenges of legal systems.

ObjectivosObjectivesReflection, discussion and a critical spirit about Law and Justice are priorities of this discipline. Having as its premise classical philosophical thought, as well as the authors of modernity and post-modernity, Students should also be able to deal with new methodological perspectives, as well as deal with new and complex legal or ethical-legal problems, and find solutions to the same.

MetodologiaMethodologyOral presentation of the program contents, using the Socratic method, in dialogue with students, in a participatory model, where students are encouraged to delve deeper into topics of greatest interest, using the analysis of the most significant jurisprudence, encouraging the formulation of questions, as well as exercising the knowledge learned. Students will be assessed, in continuous assessment, through two tests, with a weight of 50% and by carrying out oral presentations in the classroom, also with a weight of 50%. Students can also be assessed through final exams (written and, if necessary, oral).
