    The identification and assessment of risks in the workplace by Occupational Safety and Health Services/Occupational Health Services allows for an adequate diagnosis and the development and implementation of prevention and intervention measures, with direct coordination with HR Managers being central to this process. Knowledge that enables the interpretation, identification, and characterization of basic concepts in the field of Occupational Safety and Health is a fundamental component of the HR Manager's activity.

    Students must acquire knowledge that enables them to understand, identify, and characterize basic concepts in the field of Occupational Safety and Health and, in particular, within the HR area, in order to manage labor relations based on corrective and/or preventive actions aimed at maintaining the employee's quality of life. The specific objectives are: a) The definition of core concepts associated with Occupational Safety and Health, and the description of the main risks and risk assessment methods, based on legal compliance in workplace contexts; b) The identification of individual and collective protective equipment, as well as safety signage; c) The identification, characterization, and assessment of the main risks associated with work; d) The identification of general and specific protective measures, taking into account the importance of the human factor in this context.

    The exhibition method will be used in the theoretical classes. In the theoretical-practical classes will be privileged the presentation and discussion of cases and works developed by the students.
