Psychological assessment tools: Assessment of intelligence and cognitive functions. Personality assessment. Assessment of psychopathology. S6. The error in psychological assessment. S7. Preparation of psychological assessment reports. S8. Specificities, objectives and methodologies of Psychological Assessment in different contexts.
  • ObjectivosObjectives
    Continuing the Psychometrics course unit, the objectives are: LG1. Promote knowledge in the field of psychological assessment, in a more applied perspective, but always based on a solid scientific background (theoretical, technical and methodological) in this area. LG2. Acquisition of skills that allow students to reflect on Psychological Assessment as a process that should be organized according to contexts and objectives of assessment. LG3. Understand the fundamentals related to the administration, scoring and interpretation of psychological assessment tests in different contexts and populations. LG4. Understand the process of preparing psychological assessment reports. LG5. Develop a reflection on the potentialities and limitations of different assessment methodologies.

    Throughout the semester, to achieve the objectives of the Course Unit, various teaching methodologies will be used: Expository, demonstrative and interrogative moments, based on various support materials, use of concept maps; Small group activities in the classroom, followed by discussion; Practice with observation grids; Role-play of different interview techniques; Providing students with contact with psychological assessment materials; Simulation of the application of psychological assessment instruments.
