ProgramaProgramme1- The area of study of Organizational Psychology 2- The evolution of organizational models. The methods of investigation and levels of analysis. 3- Individual Level of Analysis: The individual-organization relationship. 4 -Individual characteristics: aptitudes, personality, emotional intelligence. Motivation and the Work: content and process models. Learning in an organizational context. Values and Attitudes. Social perception and evaluation of people. 5 - Level of group analysis: effectiveness of work teams 6 - Function and type of groups in organizations. Group processes: communication, leadership, conflict, intergroup relations 7 - Levels of organizational analysis: organizational productivity 8 - Sociocognitive processes: climate and culture. Structural processes: authority, grouping of work units, coordination 9 - Political processes: interests, negotiation, decision, control 10 - Ethical and deontological issues in the work context

ObjectivosObjectivesThis curricular unit aims to provide an introductory approach to Organizational Psychology and its core areas for organizations. Specifically, it intends to identify and differentiate the different methods, concepts and theories that explain the behaviour of the individual, and of the groups in an organizational context; characterize the behaviour of different organizational actors at different levels of analysis; understand the fundamental concepts and areas in PTO; and train for the theoretical and epistemological understanding of different points of view, as an essential element for effective communication and coherent action within organizations At the end of this course students should be able to understand the individual, group and organizational dynamics and their relationship/influence with labour dynamics.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe teaching methodology used includes: a. Theoretical classes, using the expository method - moments of theoretical presentation with approach and discussion of the program contents; b. Practical classes will be based on practical exercises of solving and reflecting on problems/cases and analyzing documents, conducting research in databases and carrying out/presenting group work; c. Tutoring, self-monitoring and personal and professional development activities; d. E-Based Learning; e. Use of playful educational materials with interactive dynamics; f. Open classes.
