Statistics II

Business Management
  • ApresentaçãoPresentation
The purpose of this course is to introduce probability distribuition models and the basic principles of Inferential Statistics. Students should understand the usefulness and wide application of these methodologies to various contexts, particularly in their subject areas. It is intended that students develop their thinking skills, helping them to address and solve real practical problems in their area of study or in other contexts.

S1. Binomial Distribution and Normal Distribution S2. Confidence Intervals S3. Hypothesis Tests for a Mean S4. Hypothesis Tests for Comparison of Means S5. Nonparametric Tests S6. Chi-Square Test S7. Correlation and Multiple Linear Regression CP8. Use of Software Tools
  • ObjectivosObjectives
Understand and apply the theoretical principles of the Binomial and Normal distributions in real-world contexts. Estimate population parameters through the construction and interpretation of confidence intervals. Formulate and test statistical hypotheses using appropriate parametric methods. Apply nonparametric tests of goodness-of-fit and independence, recognizing when they are more suitable than parametric tests. Analyze relationships between variables using correlation and multiple linear regression. Use statistical software to perform and interpret the statistical analyses covered in the Curricular Unit.
