The course allows experimentation with patterns, textures and materials, encouraging creativity and innovation. The relevance of the study cycle lies in the training of professionals capable of developing proposals for fashion, home textiles and decoration, connecting tradition and technology to expand the expressive possibilities of textile design.

  • ObjectivosObjectives
Through a theoretical and practical framework, the aim is for students to expand their knowledge of textile design, particularly manual, artisanal and technological embroidery techniques. Continuous reflection will be carried out on the design of the surface of the material, putting into practice a line of reasoning that appeals to design thinking and that determines the coherent use of different methods and techniques for product development. The aim is for students to think about the applicability of materials in relation to different types of products in the field of fashion design, in the clothing and accessories, home textiles and tapestries or other textile installations sectors, encouraging the development of differentiated structures and patterns. By encouraging students' creativity, adapting and interconnecting different techniques within the scope of practical exercises, it will become possible to understand the possibilities of creating differentiated textile structures.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
Students must research, reflect and develop proposals that explore the techniques and methods covered throughout the semester. The creation of a Scrapbook documents the creative process, technical exploration and future goals. In this way, students understand and apply, in a theoretical and practical way, artisanal, manual and technological techniques. Innovative methodologies include: Project-Based Learning (PBL): Development of textile surfaces with design thinking and emotional design. Digital Technologies: Application of the embroidery machine in the development of works. Co-creation and Collaboration: Interactive workshops, brainstorming and scrapbooking. Gamification: Creative challenges and embroidery competitions. Active Methodologies: Flipped classes and case studies on contemporary designers. Continuous assessment considers: attendance (10%), case study (30%), authorial Scrapbook (30%) and book with physical samples (30%).
