    An organizational and methodological approach of optimization processes and sports training management, giving the student an integrated perspective of the training process, overviewing skills that will allow him to interact with different backdrops (school, sport club, athlete) on a variety of areas, namely elaboration, organization, execution, and evaluation of the processes inherent to sports training and competition. The unit's modules are transversal to all modalities of sports (whether these are collective or individual) regardless of its practice contexts (sports club, schools or gyms).

    1. History of Training Theory and Methodology; 2. Fundamentals of sports training: training concepts and adaptation, trainability and load; 3. Principles of sports training, load components; 4. Motor Skills Training - speed, endurance, strength, stretching and coordination; 5. Factors or components of the analysis of physical training, technical training, tactical training, psychological training and theoretical training; 6. Training organization and planning: training/competition/recovery relationship; periodization and structure of training the classic perspectives and new trends; particularities of training planning and periodization depending on the typology of the modalities and the different stages of the athletes' and teams' careers; 7. Control of the training process, forms and means; 8. Detection and selection of sport talents: meaning, means and methods

    1. Understand and carry out the tasks set out as the trainer¿s functions, and identify the particularities of competitive practices context; 2. Understand the principles of training; 3. Identify the components of the load and adaptation processes; 4. To master the application of the training exercises; 5. Understand the specifics, guidelines and contents of youth training planning; 6. Understand the specifics, guidelines and contents of high-performance training planning; 7. Proceed with the elaboration of a plan for a training cycle of several years, using the specific methodology, training factors contents and understanding of the variations of load components; 8. Prepare the annual training plan alongside the intermediary and micro structures, meso and micro cycles, and training units. Recognition of tasks, documents and forms of control; 9. Master the control procedures of training processes; 10. Identify the needs for preparing for competition
