This semester we are preparing the activity "Conversations in Class with ... Susana Machado", whose topic of conversation is "Accessibility, an Advantage for All", as part of the Urban Planning II curricular unit, taught to 4th year students of ISMAT's Integrated Master's Degree in Architecture, with Professor Cláudia Gaspar
Susana Machado is an architect with a postgraduate qualification in spatial planning, urbanism and environmental law, and OA's representative on Architecture for All - UIA (International Union of Architects). In this talk, she will discuss the concepts of universal design, accessibility and empowerment; the legal framework; the concept of an Accessible Route; and technical Accessibility (and inclusion) Standards based on practical examples.
