Professors Jane Machado, Eduarda Coutinho, and Anderson Luiz de Souza represented the institution at the national event promoted by Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon.

Professors Jane Machado, Eduarda Coutinho, and Anderson Luiz de Souza, directors of the Master's in Visual Arts Teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education at the Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes (ISMAT), participated in the I Conference on Teacher Training, promoted by Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon.

The meeting, held on June 30th, took place in a hybrid format at Universidade Lusófona - Lisbon University Center, bringing together professors, researchers, and professionals involved in initial and continuous teacher training.

Under the theme “Teacher Bridges: Dialogues between teaching training, teaching in training, and practicing teaching”, the conference offered a space for sharing, reflection, and debate on the contemporary challenges of teacher training, bringing together different experiences, institutional contexts, and educational practices.

The program included sessions dedicated to the training triad, clinical and pedagogical supervision, the common framework for teacher training, as well as workshops on mentoring and action-research practices, management, learning environments, and innovation.

The participation of ISMAT faculty members reinforces the institution's commitment to qualifying teacher training, academic cooperation, and inter-institutional dialogue regarding the challenges of contemporary education.

The presence of those responsible for the Master's in Visual Arts Teaching also highlights the course's relevance in the national debate on teacher training, the connection between theory and practice, and the promotion of pedagogical experiences within the school context.

Through this participation, ISMAT reaffirms its active role in building academic and scientific collaboration networks, contributing to the development of innovative training practices and the strengthening of teacher training in Portugal.
