The defenses took place on July 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, highlighting the impact of scientific knowledge on organizations in the Algarve.
On July 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, 2nd-year master's students gave the public presentations of their internship reports under the academic supervision of professors André Tavares Rodrigues and Paulo Martins.
The host entities represent a diverse network of organizations from the education, public administration, child and youth protection, social action, justice, and elderly care sectors, providing differentiated and enriching learning contexts for the development of professional skills.
In total, 10 host entities were identified, namely the Manuel Teixeira Gomes School Group (Portimão), A Valorizar, the Parochial Center of Paderne, the Municipality of Albufeira, the Silves Prison Facility, CASLAS – Center for Social Assistance Lucinda Anino Santos, the Good Samaritan Children's Home, the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth (CPCJ) of Lagos, the Portimão Elderly Support Center – A Catraia (Shelter Home), and the Municipality of Lagoa.
This group of entities demonstrates the strong connection between the degree and community organizations, ensuring students gain internship experience in real-world contexts of psychological, educational, and social intervention, contributing to the consolidation of essential technical, scientific, and ethical skills for professional practice.
