CREATIVITY PROCESSES AND TOOLS FOR TEACHING is a course aimed at teachers and education professionals interested in fostering creativity in the educational context. It explores creativity as a dynamic system, based on authors such as Csikszentmihalyi, Torrance, Sternberg and Amabile. It promotes the development of creative thinking, problem-solving and the evaluation of creative processes. It integrates methodologies such as Design Thinking and analog and digital tools, stimulating innovation and experimentation. The aim is to enable participants to create creative learning environments that are sustainable and adaptable to different contexts.
  • ObjectivosObjectives

To understand creativity as a dynamic system, according to Csikszentmihalyi (1996), at the intersection between the individual, the domain and the social field. Analyze the impact of cultural context and recognition on the teaching of arts, design and cinema. Develop creative thinking based on the Torrance Test (1965, 2008), encouraging fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. Apply methodologies such as Design Thinking and Wallas' creative models. Integrate Sternberg and Lubart's creative investment model (1991, 1992), promoting risk, persistence and multiple perspectives. Train teachers to foster environments that stimulate creativity, critical thinking and innovation. Explore analog and digital creative tools, such as mind maps, brainstorming, collaborative platforms and AI. Apply them in interdisciplinary projects. Evaluate creative processes based on intrinsic motivation (Amabile, 1983, 1996) and build rubrics with criteria such as originality and impact. Promote the transfer and sustainability of creative skills through continuous pedagogical practice and reflection.

  • CompetênciasCompetences

    1. Theoretical Understanding of Creativity and Innovation - Recognize the main theories of creativity, based on the contributions of Csikszentmihalyi, Torrance, Sternberg, Lubart and Amabile. - Understand the impact of creativity on learning and the role of the teacher as a facilitator of this process. 2. Mastering Creative Tools and Techniques - Apply idea generation techniques such as SCAMPER, Brainstorming, Six Thinking Hats (de Bono) and Mind Maps. - Use digital tools (e.g. Miro, Padlet, Mentimeter) to facilitate collaborative creative processes, including synchronous and asynchronous dynamics. - Understanding the creative process: 1. stages 2. Sequence 3.Iteration 4 .Divergence/Convergence 5. Analysis/synthesis 6. Filters and Selection 3. Planning and Conducting Creative Activities - Plan activities that develop students' creative thinking, integrating Design Thinking practices and active methodologies such as Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Gamification. - Conduct workshops and practical activities that encourage experimentation, curiosity and innovative problem-solving. 4. facilitating creative processes and collaborative work - Develop facilitation skills, encouraging collaboration between students in solving creative challenges. - Create a safe environment for sharing ideas, encouraging creative divergence and critical analysis of proposed solutions. 5 Assessment of Creativity in Teaching - Build assessment tools based on the creativity criteria defined by Torrance (fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration) and Amabile (intrinsic motivation and impact of context). - Evaluate not only the final results, but also the creative process, recognizing effort, persistence and adaptability. 6. reflection and continuous pedagogical innovation - Adopt a reflective and investigative stance on the pedagogical practices applied. - Develop strategies to adapt and innovate educational processes based on the results observed and the feedback received.
